Advertising on Gyvio

How Promote works for businesses: who can advertise, how every ad is reviewed, what you pay for, where the coins go, what comes back, and what can't be advertised. These terms are part of our Terms of Service, and our Dash Coins terms apply to the coins you use.

At a glance

  • Business accounts can promote their own posts, and links, marked as ads ("Sponsored", or "Ad" where space is tight): in For You, in chats and rooms, on Gyvio+ creators' posts, profiles and stories, in search, in the stories rail, and in "People you may know".
  • You pay 1 Dash Coin for each qualified view: a real person, in the app, who watched it and, depending on their account, genuinely engaged with it. Other views are free.
  • Your budget is held when you send an ad for review, and each view is charged 7 days after it qualifies. What your ad doesn't use comes back.
  • A person reviews every ad before it runs.
  • In For You, the coin for each qualified view goes to the person who viewed it, as a reward. On a Gyvio+ creator's posts and profile, half goes to the creator. Elsewhere it goes to Gyvio.
  • No ads for betting, loans, crypto or investments, MLM, weapons, drugs, tobacco or alcohol, adult content or dating, medicines, politics, counterfeits, or paid engagement.
  • We never let you target people by age, gender or anything private, and you only ever see totals.

Who can advertise

How a promotion works

  1. You pick one of your posts, who should see it, an optional button (visit your website, send you a message, or view your profile), a budget in Dash Coins and how many days it runs (1 to 30).
  2. You say what your ad is about, and confirm it is true and follows these rules.
  3. You pay: your budget is held from your wallet (it is no longer yours to spend, but it has not been charged yet) and your ad is sent for review.
  4. Once approved, it runs from the day you chose, in For You, among other posts, and never more than once in any ten posts someone sees.
  5. It stops when its budget's worth of views have qualified, its days are over, you stop it, or we do.

You can pause, restart and stop a promotion yourself, in the app or on Gyvio Business (business.gyvio.app).

Every ad is reviewed

A person at Gyvio looks at every ad before it runs: the post, its link, what it says it is about, and the business behind it. We usually decide within a day. We may turn an ad down if it breaks these rules or our Community Guidelines, looks misleading, links somewhere other than it says, or for any reason we explain to you. If we turn it down, all of its coins come back to your wallet straight away. Approval means only that we are willing to show the ad; it does not mean we checked every claim in it, and it does not move responsibility for the ad from you to us.

What you pay for

You pay 1 Dash Coin for each qualified view, and nothing for any other view. The price is fixed for a promotion when you make it.

A view qualifies when a real person was shown your ad in the Gyvio app and watched it for a few seconds and, depending on their account, did something that shows they paid attention, such as liking, commenting, sharing, following you or tapping your button. What it takes depends on each person's trust level and account; we don't publish the exact rules, so that they can't be gamed. Views from new, automated, linked or suspicious accounts never qualify. Each person counts at most once a day, on up to 3 days of a promotion, so it reminds people without spending your budget on the same few; after that it isn't shown to them again. People who haven't seen it yet come first. Promotions made before 25 September 2026 count each person once.

Views that don't qualify (people who scrolled past, or accounts that can't qualify) are still shown, but they are free. Your dashboard shows them separately.

We do not promise any number of views, clicks, followers or sales.

Where the coins go

A view is charged 7 days after it qualifies. Until then its coin stays held, and if we find in that time that the view was fake (for example the account was a bot, or linked to yours), it is not charged at all.

Where the coin for each qualified view goes depends on where the ad was shown:

Where it was shownWhere the coin goes
For YouTo the person who viewed it, as a reward for genuinely engaging (see Ad rewards)
A Gyvio+ creator's post comments, their profile feed, or their storiesHalf to the creator (see Ad earnings), half to Gyvio
Chats and rooms, search, the stories rail, and "People you may know"To Gyvio

If we add other places where ads can appear, we will say here where the coins for those go before any ad runs there.

Coins that come back

What can't be advertised

On top of everything our Community Guidelines don't allow, you can't promote:

Your ad, and the law

Who sees your ad, and what you see

Limits

Fake views and our rights

We check views for fraud automatically and by hand, before and after they qualify. We don't charge you for views we find to be fake. Trying to inflate your own results (with other accounts, bots, or by paying people to engage) breaks these rules. We may pause or stop a promotion, turn down future ones, remove an ad that turns out to break these rules after it was approved, or suspend or ban an account, as described in our Terms.

Records

We keep a record of every promotion: what ran, where, when, who reviewed it, what it was charged and what came back, for as long as financial and advertising law requires (up to 7 years).

Changes and questions

We may change the price, limits or rules. A change never affects the price of a promotion you have already paid for. We will show the current rules in the app and tell you in the app before a price changes.
