At a glance
- 1 Dash Coin = ₦1, always.
- Top up from ₦500 through Paystack. No fee on top-ups.
- No fee on tips, coins sent in chat, paid first messages or giveaways.
- Only earned coins can be cashed out: at least 2,000 coins, to a Nigerian bank in your own name, with a 10% fee.
- New earnings can be cashed out 3 days after they arrive, and we check your ID once, before your first cash-out.
- Gyvio+ is 5,000 Dash Coins for 30 days, paid from your wallet. It never renews or charges you by itself.
- Engage genuinely with sponsored posts in For You and you may earn Ad rewards, paid 7 days later.
What Dash Coins are
Dash Coins are Gyvio's in-app currency. Each coin is worth exactly ₦1 when you buy it and when you cash it out; the rate does not move. Dash Coins:
- can only be used inside Gyvio, and only moved to other Gyvio accounts in the ways described here,
- are not a bank deposit, electronic money, a cryptocurrency or an investment, and earn no interest,
- do not expire,
- belong to your account and can't be sold, transferred outside Gyvio or passed on to anyone else.
Your wallet shows your balance and every coin that comes in or goes out. We keep an exact record of each movement so every coin can be accounted for.
Topping up
- Top up any whole amount from ₦500. You get one coin for every ₦1.
- You pay on Paystack's secure payment page, by card, bank, USSD or bank transfer, in Naira. We don't see your card details.
- There is no fee on top-ups. You pay exactly the amount you chose.
- Coins are added once Paystack confirms the payment to us, not when you are sent back to the app. This is usually seconds, but can take longer if the payment is delayed.
- If a different amount reaches us than the one you chose, we credit what actually arrived, up to the amount you chose. If your coins have not arrived, email support@salesive.com (subject: "Gyvio payments") with the payment reference.
- How much you can top up each day depends on your trust level.
Purchased and earned coins
Your wallet keeps two kinds of coins apart:
- Purchased coins are ones you topped up. You can spend them on Gyvio but can't cash them out.
- Earned coins are ones you received from other people or from Gyvio: tips, accepted chat coins, coins collected from letters, paid first messages you replied to, giveaway prizes, referral rewards, streak rewards, ad rewards and ad earnings. You can spend them or cash them out.
When you spend, your purchased coins are used first, so your earned coins stay available to cash out. When coins you sent come back to you (for example a gift that was declined), they come back as the same kind they left as.
Tips
- You can tip a post with a preset amount (20, 50, 100 or 500 coins) or any whole number of coins.
- The creator gets the whole tip as earned coins straight away. There is no fee.
- Only creators with an active Gyvio+ membership can receive tips, and they can turn tips off. You can't tip your own post.
- You can tip anonymously. Otherwise, creators can show their top supporters on their posts, with or without amounts, or hide them.
- You can tip or send coins to the same person up to 5 times a day. Your daily total depends on your trust level. Days reset at midnight Nigerian time (WAT).
- Tips can't be taken back once sent.
Sending coins in chat
- You can send coins to someone in a chat, if they accept coins. The coins leave your balance and are held until they answer.
- If they accept, the coins become their earned coins. There is no fee.
- If they decline, don't answer within 72 hours (3 days), or one of you blocks or reports the other, the coins come back to you.
- The same daily limits as tips apply.
Coins in letters
- You can put Dash Coins in a letter you write to someone, if they accept coins. The coins leave your balance and are held in the letter.
- After reading it, they can collect them: the coins become their earned coins. There is no fee. If they read it but don't collect them within 3 days, they are collected for them.
- If they don't read the letter within 3 days of it opening (a birthday letter opens the day after their birthday), the coins come back to you.
- If either of you blocks the other, or they stop you writing to them, coins in letters that are still held come back to you.
- Coins in an anonymous letter don't say who sent them, in their wallet or anywhere else they can see.
- The same daily limits and passcode as tips apply.
Paid first messages
- You can set a price for a first message from people you don't follow each other with, up to 5,000 coins and within your trust level's limit. Friends (people who follow each other) always message for free.
- When someone pays to message you, their coins are held. When you reply, the coins become your earned coins.
- If you don't reply within 72 hours, or one of you blocks or reports the other, the coins go back to the sender.
- You can have up to 5 paid first messages waiting for a reply at once.
Giveaways
A giveaway is a post that shares out coins to people who take part. The post shows the prize, how many can win, how long is left, and how to take part. Winners are never drawn at random: they are the first to claim, or the ones the organiser picks.
Running a giveaway
- You need to be trust level 1 or above. Your budget is limited by your trust level.
- You start a giveaway on one of your own posts, in the app (the post's menu) or on Gyvio Business. A post can have one giveaway, and a post that is being promoted can't have one.
- The full prize amount is taken from your balance and held when you start the giveaway. If you have a Dash Coins passcode, you'll need it.
- You choose the total, the number of winners (1 to 1,000) and how long it runs (1 hour to 7 days, 48 hours if you don't choose). Each winner gets an equal share in whole coins; any remainder that doesn't divide evenly is not taken from you.
- There are three kinds: instant (the first people to claim each win a share, optionally limited to a city), question (people answer your question and you pick the winners), and comment (commenting on the post enters people, and you pick the winners). Liking or sharing a giveaway doesn't enter it.
- Entries close at the deadline. For question and comment giveaways you can pick winners while entries are open and for 48 hours after they close.
- At trust level 1, our team reviews each giveaway before it goes live, until 3 of yours have been approved.
- Prizes nobody has won come back to you when the giveaway ends: at the deadline for an instant giveaway, and when the 48 hours to pick are over for the others. You can also end a giveaway early; prizes already won stay with the winners and the rest come back to you at once.
- If we reject or remove your giveaway, the unpaid prizes come back to you. A giveaway waiting for review that isn't reviewed within 3 days doesn't run, and the prize comes back to you.
- You can't delete a giveaway post while it is running. End the giveaway first.
- You are responsible for describing your giveaway honestly, picking winners fairly, and following any law that applies to promotions you run.
Taking part
- Your account needs to be active, verified and at least 24 hours old, whether you enter by claiming, answering or commenting. You can answer a question giveaway once; more comments on a comment giveaway don't add entries.
- You can enter up to 20 giveaways a day. You can't enter your own.
- You can't win a giveaway run by an account linked to yours, for example one used on the same device or paid out to the same bank account. If a winner can't be paid for this or any other reason above, the organiser can pick someone else.
- An account being checked for fraud can't enter or win until the check is done (see Fraud checks).
- Prizes arrive as earned coins. We tell you when an organiser picks you.
Challenges
A challenge is a hashtag, and sometimes a sound, that anyone can post to while it runs, with Dash Coins for the posts people engage with most. Challenges are run by businesses or by Gyvio. Winners are ranked, never drawn at random.
Running a challenge (businesses)
- You set a title, a hashtag, what people should post, a prize of at least 1,000 Dash Coins, how it's shared (for example 50%, 30% and 20% for the top three), and how long it runs (1 to 30 days).
- The full prize is taken from your balance and held when you send it. Our team checks every challenge before it goes live; if we turn it down, or you cancel it before it starts, the prize comes back to you.
- When it closes you have 48 hours to check the winners and take out any post that breaks your rules. If you don't, the ranking stands and winners are paid.
- Any prize that isn't won, for example because fewer people entered than there are prizes, comes back to you.
- You are responsible for describing your challenge honestly and following any law that applies to promotions you run.
Taking part
- Post publicly with the challenge's hashtag (and its sound, if it has one) while it runs. Your account needs to be active, verified and at least 24 hours old. You can't enter a business's challenge from that business's own account.
- Entries are ranked by what real people do with them: likes, people who comment, people who share or repost, and people who watch, counted only from accounts that are verified, active and at least a week old, and never your own. Each person's best entry counts once.
- You can't win a challenge run by an account linked to yours, for example one used on the same device or paid out to the same bank account. If a winner can't be paid for this or any reason above, the prize passes to the next in line.
- Faking engagement (extra accounts, bots, paying for likes) forfeits prizes and can get the account banned. See the Community Guidelines.
- Prizes arrive as earned coins, and we tell you when you win.
Rewards: referrals and streaks
Referrals
Invite a friend with your link. You get 50 earned coins once, when the friend you invited makes their first top-up. Signing up alone does not earn the reward. You can earn up to 100 referral rewards in a calendar month.
If the account you invited is linked to yours (for example it is used on the same device), the reward waits until our team has checked it.
Posting streaks
Post or share a story every day to build a streak. You get earned coins when your streak reaches:
| Streak | Reward |
|---|---|
| 7 days | 20 coins |
| 30 days | 100 coins |
| 100 days | 500 coins |
Once every 30 days, a single missed day is forgiven automatically so your streak survives. Each reward is paid once per account: if a streak ends and you build a new one, the milestones you have already been paid for don't pay again.
While an account is being checked for fraud, its referral and streak rewards wait and are paid once the check is done. Rewards obtained through fake accounts, shared accounts or other tricks are not paid, or are taken back. See the Community Guidelines.
Ad rewards
Businesses pay to show sponsored posts in For You. When you genuinely engage with one, the coin the business pays for your view can come to you.
- What counts depends on your trust level and your account: watching it for a few seconds and, for most accounts, doing something that shows you paid attention, such as liking it, commenting on it, sharing it or following the business. New accounts, and accounts that can't be trusted yet, don't earn ad rewards. We don't publish the exact rules, so that they can't be gamed.
- Everything you earn is added up and paid 7 days later, all at once, as earned coins labelled "Ad rewards" in your wallet. We don't send a notification. Because they already waited, ad rewards don't wait another 3 days before you can cash them out.
- There is a limit to how many sponsored posts earn you rewards each day. Nothing is guaranteed: a business's budget can run out, and some sponsored posts may not earn anything.
- Engagement must be genuine. Copy-pasted or meaningless comments don't count, and using bots, several accounts, shared devices or anything automated to collect ad rewards breaks our Community Guidelines. We don't pay rewards we find to be fake, even inside the 7 days, and we may ban accounts that farm them, which forfeits every coin in them.
Ad earnings (Gyvio+ creators)
- If you are a Gyvio+ member, businesses' ads can appear in your posts' comments, in your profile feed and on your stories (above the reply bar). For each view there that counts, you earn half a Dash Coin; Gyvio keeps the other half.
- It is on by default for Gyvio+ members whose account is in good standing, and 18 or over. You can turn it off, and see what you have made, in Settings › Dash Coins. When your Gyvio+ ends, ads stop appearing on your posts and profile.
- Your earnings are paid 7 days after each view counts, once a day, as earned coins labelled "Ad earnings". Half coins wait until they make a whole one.
- Your own views, and views from accounts linked to yours, never count. One person counts for at most 3 paid views on your posts and profile a day. Faking views to earn forfeits your earnings and can get your account banned.
Promote (business accounts)
Business accounts can pay Dash Coins to promote their posts: 1 coin for each qualified view. The budget is held when the ad is sent for review, each view is charged 7 days after it qualifies, and what isn't used comes back. The full rules are in Advertising on Gyvio.
Cashing out
- You can cash out earned coins only, to a bank account in Nigeria that is in your own name, in Naira. Payouts are sent by Paystack.
- The minimum cash-out is 2,000 coins.
- New earnings wait 3 days. Coins you earn can be cashed out 3 days after they arrive. Your wallet shows how much you can cash out now and when the rest will be ready. Coins that come back from a cash-out that was turned down or failed can be cashed out again straight away.
- ID check. Before your first cash-out, we check your ID: a photo of your ID document and a short selfie, done by our provider Didit. It takes a couple of minutes and you only do it once. One ID can only be used for one Gyvio account that cashes out. See our Privacy Policy for what is collected.
- A 10% fee is taken from the amount you cash out (rounded up to the nearest coin). For example, cashing out 2,000 coins sends ₦1,800 to your bank. We don't add bank or transfer charges on top.
- Cash-outs are available from trust level 1, up to a weekly limit set by your trust level. The week is any rolling 7 days.
- You give us your bank and a 10-digit account number, and we check the account name with the bank before paying and compare it with the name on your ID. Make sure the details are right; we can't recover money paid to an account you gave us by mistake.
- Cash-outs are sent once a day, at 10am Nigerian time (WAT). Most arrive in your bank the same day.
- We review some cash-outs by hand before paying them, for example when the bank account's name doesn't match the name on your ID, the bank account has been used by another Gyvio account, it is a new bank account, most of the coins came from very few people or from brand-new accounts, someone who paid you had their payment reversed by their bank, or our fraud checks flag the account. Most reviews are done within a day. We may ask you questions and may reject a cash-out of coins that were earned by breaking our rules.
- Cash-outs must be asked for in the Gyvio app. Requests that don't come through the app are refused.
- A cash-out is only marked paid once Paystack confirms the transfer went through.
- If we reject a cash-out, the transfer fails, or your bank sends the money back, the full amount you asked to cash out, including the fee, goes back to your wallet as earned coins.
Where your cash-out is
Your wallet shows the status of each cash-out:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| In review | Our team is checking it before it is queued |
| Queued | It goes out in the next daily batch at 10am |
| Sending | Paystack has it and it is on its way to your bank |
| Paid | Paystack has confirmed it reached your bank |
| Failed | It was turned down or didn't go through. Your coins, fee included, come back to your wallet |
| Reversed | Your bank sent it back. Your coins, fee included, come back to your wallet |

| Gyvio+ | 5,000 Dash Coins per 30 days (see below) |
Gyvio+
Price and payment
- Gyvio+ costs 5,000 Dash Coins for 30 days. The current price is always shown in the app before you pay.
- You pay from your wallet, with your Dash Coins. If you don't have enough, the app tells you how many more you need and lets you top up first. If you have set a spending passcode, you enter it to pay.
- Each payment adds 30 days. If you pay while you still have time left, the new days start when the current period ends.
- The coins you pay go to Gyvio. They don't come back, including for days you don't use (see No refunds).
- Gyvio+ used to be paid by bank transfer. If you have Naira credit left over from a transfer, it counts towards your next payment, ₦1 for each coin, and is used up first. Gyvio+ credit can only be used for Gyvio+. It is not Dash Coins and can't be cashed out.
- If you paid and your Gyvio+ time didn't arrive, email support@salesive.com (subject: "Gyvio payments").
No automatic renewal
Gyvio+ never charges you by itself. When your period ends, it simply stops unless you pay again. There is nothing to cancel.
What you get
- A blue check beside your name.
- The ability to receive tips.
- Ad earnings: businesses' ads can appear in your posts' comments, your profile feed and on your stories, and you earn half a Dash Coin for each view there that counts (see Ad earnings). You can turn it off.
- Sharper photos and videos: your videos go out in 1080p (instead of 720p) and your photos up to 2,560 pixels on the long side (instead of 1,440).
- Message text in your notifications, and replying straight from them.
- A masked peek at what someone is typing to you (the first letter of each word). Only Gyvio+ members receive it.
- Up to 3 friend-streak saves a month, each covering one missed day, and friend streaks that show from the first day instead of the third (for your friend too).
- Who viewed your profile in the last 30 days, and profiles you look at not recording your visit.
- Videos up to 90 seconds (instead of 60) and up to 10 items in a carousel (instead of 5).
- Rooms you own can hold up to 10,000 people (instead of 200).
- Every look for your Gyvmoji: any colour, every mood, greeting and idle, all the outfits in any colour, and toys (instead of a few of each).
- A modest boost for your posts in the feed.
- Easier trust levels (you need 70% of the usual requirements) and 1.5 times the limits of your level. Gyvio+ does not unlock things your level does not allow at all, such as cash-outs at level 0.
We may change what Gyvio+ includes. If we take away a main feature, we will tell you in the app first.
No refunds, and coins that come back
Coins that come back
Coins that are held go back to the sender automatically when:
- coins sent in chat are declined or not answered within 72 hours,
- a letter with coins in it isn't read within 3 days of opening, or one of you blocks the other before they're collected,
- a paid first message gets no reply within 72 hours,
- one of you blocks or reports the other while coins or a paid message are waiting,
- giveaway prizes are not won by the deadline, or the giveaway is rejected or removed,
- a cash-out is rejected or fails (including the fee).
No refunds on anything you buy
- Gyvio does not give refunds. Buying Dash Coins is final: once they're in your wallet, the money is not paid back, and purchased coins can't be cashed out.
- Coins paid for Gyvio+, and Gyvio+ credit, are final too, including for days you don't use.
- Tips, accepted chat coins and paid messages that were replied to are final.
If a payment went through but your coins or Gyvio+ time didn't arrive, email support@salesive.com (subject: "Gyvio payments") with the payment reference within 30 days. If we find the payment, we'll add the coins or Gyvio+ time it paid for.
If you reverse a payment through your bank or card issuer (a chargeback or dispute), the payment is flagged for our team to review. We may remove the coins or Gyvio+ time it paid for and restrict your wallet while we look into it.
Trust levels and limits
Your trust level grows as you use Gyvio. It sets how much money can move through your account, which protects everyone from fraud. You can see your level on your profile.
| Level | How you get there | Top-up per day | Tips and chat coins per day | Paid inbox price up to | Cash-out per 7 days | Giveaway budget |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 New | Sign up with a verified Google account | ₦5,000 | 500 coins | 100 coins | Not available | Not available |
| 1 Active | A 7-day streak or an account 30 days old, and no strikes | ₦20,000 | 2,000 coins | 500 coins | ₦10,000 | 20,000 coins |
| 2 Trusted | 1,000 followers, or a verified ID | ₦100,000 | 10,000 coins | 2,000 coins | ₦100,000 | 200,000 coins |
| 3 Creator | 10,000 followers and a verified ID | ₦500,000 | No limit | 5,000 coins | ₦500,000 | No limit |
- With Gyvio+ you need 70% of the followers, streak or account age shown, and every limit above is 1.5 times higher.
- Checking your ID, which you do before your first cash-out, takes you to level 2.
- Followers from fake, brand-new or suspended accounts may not count toward a level.
- A strike from a confirmed rule break can drop you from level 1 to level 0 or keep you at level 0. Our team can also raise your level.
- Tips and coins sent in chat share one daily limit.
- Other limits: 5 tips or coin sends to the same person a day, 5 paid first messages waiting at once and 10 new ones a day, and 20 giveaway entries a day.
Fraud checks
Because Dash Coins are worth real money, we check for coin farming: bots, fake or shared accounts, and people paying themselves through several accounts. Automated checks look at signals such as accounts used on the same device or paid out to the same bank account, money moving between linked accounts, how new the accounts paying you are, and activity that looks automated.
- These checks never stop you posting, chatting, calling or using Meet.
- They can send your cash-outs to our team for review, and hold referral, streak and giveaway rewards until the review is done. We don't tell you which signal led to a review, so the checks keep working.
- A person, not the automated checks, decides whether to ban an account.
- If you think a review or hold is wrong, email support@salesive.com (subject: "Gyvio support") and a person will look again.
Your spending passcode
You can protect tips and coin sends with a 4-digit passcode. After 5 wrong tries it locks for 15 minutes. If you forget it, you can reset it, but for your safety the reset takes 7 days and we email you when one is requested. Never share your passcode. Gyvio staff will never ask for it.
Suspensions, bans and closed accounts
- While your account is suspended, you can see your wallet but can't top up, tip, send coins, pay for messages, enter giveaways or cash out.
- We may pause your wallet or hold a cash-out while we look into suspected fraud or a serious rule break.
- If your account is banned, you can no longer sign in, and every Dash Coin in it is forfeited, bought or earned. Cash-outs that have not been sent yet are cancelled and not paid. Coins lost this way are not refunded or cashed out.
- If we suspend or ban your account for breaking the rules, any Gyvio+ time left ends without a refund.
- If you delete your account, any coins left in your wallet are lost, so cash out your earned coins first. You can't delete your account while a cash-out is in review, queued or sending. See Delete your account.
Taxes
You are responsible for any tax on money you earn through Gyvio. We may be required by law to share records of your earnings with tax authorities.
Changes and questions
We may change fees, prices, limits or rewards. We will show the current ones in the app, and tell you in the app before a change to a fee or price takes effect. Changes don't affect coins already in your wallet or a Gyvio+ period you have already paid for.
Payment questions: support@salesive.com (subject: "Gyvio payments"). Gyvio is operated by Salesive Force Ltd.
